Cylindrical Ring
Direction of Tolerances:
Gages - tolerance is applied minus on the "GO" member, plus on the "NOGO" member -
unless otherwise specified; Masters - tolerance is applied bilaterally.

Gage Marking
Customer part number, "GO" or "NOGO" dimensions, and gage tolerance class - XXX, XX, X, Y
or Z. Customer part identification is engraved on the body; the "GO", "NOGO" label,
diameter and tolerance class is engraved on the face of the steel jacket for gages
with diameters less than 2.00 inches. For gages 2.00" and larger in diameter, the
identification is etched on the face of the carbide near the outer diameter. Included as
standard in the price of the gage. GLE standard "NOGO" gages also are physically identified
by a groove which encircles the OD of the jacket, centered on the gage length, and the
length of sizes .366" (9.30mm) to 1.510" (38.35mm) is approximately half that of a GO gage.

Design
For diameters less than 2.00" (50.8mm), a heavy walled carbide ring protected by an outer
jacket of knurled steel. For diameters 2.00" or greater, the carbide insert is protected by
a jacket of a special nylon material - which thermally insulates the carbide from handling
and is 1/7 the weight of steel. Ring gages for "NOGO" applications from .366" (9.30mm) to
1.510" (38.35mm) in diameter are available with smaller gage lengths.
